League of Women Voters Mississippi Gulf Coast

The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan, multipurpose organization of women and men that encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government and influences policy through education and advocacy. The League does not support or oppose candidates or political parties. We do provide a forum where all candidates to an office can state their own positions.

The Mississippi Gulf Coast League is an active and growing Local League including the counties of Hancock, Harrison, and Jackson. The Mississippi Gulf Coast League meets to listen to speakers from the community, to study local issues, to develop policy positions, to advocate for League positions, and to conduct voter service projects

LWVMGC Priorities

Voter Services remains our principal priority, focusing on voter registration, voter education and getting voters to the polls. We also are advocating for public education, health and environmental issues. Volunteers are always welcome to help with our voter registration drives, education forums and other events.
