Convention is a major chapter heading for the League of Women Voters of Mississippi because it is here that we choose our leaders and recognize individuals for outstanding contributions that help make League and our communities strong. We also adopt our annual budget and suggest issues for study. All League members are encouraged to attend.
Please invite dynamic women (and men!) who are interested in working for good government and responsible public policies!

Special Happenings
League Storybank
What better way to share the benefits of League membership than with our stories? The LWVUS Storybank was developed to collect and share wonderful stories of personal growth, achievement, leadership, and friendship from League members across the country. We will be recording short videos of members' stories throughout the Convention in our Story Corner.
To begin, ask yourself these question,
- Why am I a member of League of Women Voters?
- What motivated me to join the League of Women Voters?
- What does being a League of Women Voters member mean to me?
- How has my work with the League impacted my community?
- How has being a member given me skills and knowledge that has enhanced my career and life?
Remember that every story is powerful. You do not have to demonstrate some big achievement or give your resume. Instead, let your passion for League showcase itself!
What Else?
Silent Auction
Silent Auction is an excellent way to increase funds for LWVMS. Popular items include: plants, books, art work, music, home décor, and gift cards for various businesses and restaurants. Bring your items to our auction table in the middle atrium as soon as you arrive. If you have a large piece, ask and someone will assist you in bringing it in! Need more information? Email Dary Shenefelt or call 601-992-9047.
